Circulation Policy

 

Borrowers are required to register for a library card to check out materials as well as gain access to library computer terminals.  Library cards are issued free of charge with proof of identification and current address. A fee of $1.00 will be charged to patrons who have lost their library card.  A second replacement card issued within the same year will cost $5.00 and the third $10.00.

There is no limit to the number of books that may be checked out, however we advise all patrons to please not check everything out in one subject area.

Videos

All VHS videocassette tapes and DVDs are available for borrowers who are eighteen years of age or older. Parents or guardians may sign a permission slip for children under the age of eighteen allowing them to check out any library videos. Otherwise, children may check out videos located in the children’s area only. As with all library materials, the parent or guardian has full responsibility to determine the appropriateness of movies for each child. Entertainment videos circulate for 7 days. Educational videos circulate for 28 days. Videos are for home use only.

Videos should never be returned in the book drop. They should be returned in the video drop instead. Please try to return double videos, DVDs, and CDs inside the library.

The library is not responsible for damages that may occur to patron’s equipment in the playing of audiovisual materials.
