Join us at the Kate Love Simpson Library-McConnelsville as Denise DiGeronimo demonstrates the art of egg decorating using the wax and dye method known as Ukrainian Pysansky. Patterns are drawn on the egg with wax, this protects the covered areas from dye that is applied. Repeating colors of dye are applied to the egg, creating a multi-colored design. Finally, the wax is removed to reveal colors that were covered up at each stage. Registration is required and limited to 15 participants. Due to inclement weather, the January Book Club meeting has been postponed until Thursday, January 12.  Discussion will begin at 6:00 p.m.  This month's book is To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. New members are always welcome.

Both library locations will be closed on Wednesday, December 24 and Thursday, December 25, in observance of Christmas.  Regular business hours will resume on Friday, December 26.  Please remember that your library account, catalog, and digital downloads are always accessible from this website.

Beginning November 28th, both library locations will be collecting new hats, gloves, and scarves for our community members in need.  Those who donate will have their late charges forgiven from their library record.  Sorry, lost charges and collection fees do not apply.  All donations will be given to local organizations for distribution.
