Upcoming Events

Every Wednesday – Preschool Story Time in McConnelsville

No registration required.  Activities begin at 10am, including stories and crafts. 

 

Every Thursday – Tiny & Tot Time @ 10am – McConnelsville Library 

This program is intended for children from birth to age three, accompanied by an adult.  Activities are casual to allow children to socialize with one another.  Each week includes a story, song, and play time. No need to register. Just stop by and join the fun.

 

Tuesday Evenings – MahJongg @ 5:30 p.m. – McConnelsville Library

Beginner and Intermediate players are welcome!   

 

Wednesday January 7th & 14th – Bookmobile Travels to Stockport and Deavertown Areas

 

Beginning January 5th – Pieces of Moco Community Puzzle Event

            Stop by either library location to pick up a wooden puzzle piece.  Design your family’s piece with places, people, landmarks, images, and memories that remind you of Morgan County.  Using these pieces, we plan to create an outdoor mural showcasing the wonderful attributes of our communities.  Please try to return you designs by February 2nd.

 

Thursday, January 8th – McConnelsville Library Book Club 

            This month’s discussion features the book, Nightingale, by Kristin Hannah.  Haven’t read it?  Stop by and check out a copy today.  Cheryl and Seth lead book discussions the first Thursday of each month in McConnelsville at 5pm and the second Tuesday of each month in Chesterhill at 5:30pm.  New members are always welcome!  Mark your calendars for Chesterhill Branch’s Book Club on Tuesday, January 13.   

 

Monday, January 19th – Both library locations will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. 

 

Wednesday, January 21st – Central State University presents: A Seed in Time Saves Nine – Effective Crop Planning – McConnelsville Library Community Room

            Create a plan for a successful garden this upcoming season.  Participants will explore topics like variety selection, timing, and record keeping for successfully achieving your gardening goals.  Classes are held the third Wednesday of each month at 5pm, alternating between McConnelsville and Chesterhill.  Please speak with Seth for more information.

            

What Can Your Library Do For You?

Looking for Outreach services?  Terri and Mike travel all around Morgan County.  Please give us a call if you would like to have library materials delivered to your door. This service is available to all Morgan County residents.  Inquire today! 

Receive a new device this holiday season and looking to learn more about how to use it?  Make the library your destination for tech assistance.  We will be happy to work with you to learn your device, access library materials and more! 

Want to stay home and build a puzzle?  Visit either library and pick up a puzzle of your choice to take home. Have puzzles at home that you have already built and would like to share?  Add those to our puzzle swap cart.
